This programme is for expectant mummies who wish to exclusively breastfeed their babies and to help them understand the fourth trimester and its role in establishing a successful breastfeeding journey. The programme starts with colostrum collecting and hand expression from 37-38 weeks; the lead up to birth; baby’s early days and transitional milk stages; guidance with position, attachment and latching; any possible tongue-tie issues addressed; monitoring feeds and any onset breastfeeding jaundice issues; daily tracking of nappies to achieve weight gain success, enabling discharge from the midwife by Day 14.
