Meet Amanda

Through the Eyes of a Parent

With 40 years of experience as a leading baby feeding expert, weaning specialist, and sleep consultant, I bring both professional expertise and personal insight as a mother of three grown sons.

I have established practices across prestigious locations including 10 Harley Street, London and Alderley Edge, Cheshire, while also serving clients in major cities worldwide online.

My career has seen me work with families from diverse cultural backgrounds, media personalities, and royalty, maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality in all client relationships.

My methodologies support all stages of parenthood – from pregnancy, post birth, fourth trimester emphasising the importance of skin-to-skin contact and attachment parenting, then through to all aspects of infant feeding, weaning, sleep guidance, and developmental milestones from 0-7 years.

With over 6,000 families supported to date, my client base has been built predominantly through personal referrals.

My career began in the 1980s as an au pair, mother’s help, nanny, later qualifying as a maternity nurse. I have over 40+ years of experience supporting families in the UK and worldwide. My particular interest in infant feeding led me to train as a breastfeeding advisor with UNICEF and Sure Start, where I gained valuable experience working both in hospitals and directly with families during some of their most vulnerable moments, gently supporting them on their feeding journeys.

I was later introduced to an exceptional team at Viveka, founded by world-leading obstetrician Dr Yehudi Gordon at St John’s and St Elizabeth Hospital in London. There, I developed a deep understanding of the philosophy of “Babies Know” and the principles of attachment parenting.

I trained with leading expert Peter Walker, completing his Baby and Developmental Massage Therapy course. Through this, I instinctively connected with the profound importance of skin-to-skin contact and its role in early development.

I now reflect on this journey with a deep sense of purpose, understanding how each step has shaped what I am able to offer to future generations of families.

My core mission is to empower parents to respond effectively to their children’s needs, fostering optimal mental and physical development.

As an expert in gentle sleep methods and responsive feeding approaches, I take a firm stance against “Cry It Out” and Controlled Crying methods.

My extensive experience has demonstrated how these approaches can contribute to separation anxiety and behavioural challenges, potentially impacting children’s long-term emotional wellbeing.

I now understand the deeper meaning of this journey and the role I have in shaping what I pass on to future generations.
